“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28
I am really sorry to say that the guest speaker we were supposed to have this Sunday is no longer able to join us due to circumstances beyond his control, so you will have to listen to me again.
In the the verse above we learn that in Christ Jesus not only is all discrimination eliminated, but also unity is established. “For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” I love that although there is diversity among people within the church, the unity found in Christ Jesus supersedes it all. Unfortunately we don’t see this kind of unity in our culture today, nor do we always see it in the church. Rather, prejudice of race, sex, and economic or intellectual status continues to cause division. This isn’t new. Even in Paul’s day some of the people would pray out loud, “Lord, I thank you that I am not a Gentile, a slave, or a woman.”
As Christians, how are we to respond to the reality of politics, prejudice and social injustice inside and outside of the church? God has commissioned all Christians to come together in unity that we might have a huge impact in every community. Join us Sunday morning as we discover how “The Christ Culture” transcends all other so-called “cultures”.
God bless you all and hope to see you there!
