Loyal Soldiers

“You have not left your brethren these many days, up to this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the Lord your God.” Joshua 22:3

The soldiers from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh must have been so happy to head home once their “conquest of faith” was completed. For seven years they were away from their families and friends, but now were free to go home.

Joshua commended these soldiers because they promised Moses they would remain in the army until all the land was conquered. They were loyal to Moses, Joshua, and all the other tribes. Why were these soldiers so loyal to the their leaders? Because first and foremost, they were loyal to the Lord. They understood they were on a mission for the Lord, therefore they were devoted to serving Him.

We too are soldiers in the Lord’s army and are all on a conquest of faith. This is why Paul wrote in Colossians 3:23-24, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” As soldiers of Christ, we are all on a conquest of faith, and it is our mission to bring glory to His name in our homes, our workplaces, and our communities. We do this by simply being loyal to serve the Lord.

Join us Wednesday night as we begin 2018 with a bang by learning how to become “Loyal Soldiers” on our conquest of faith.

God bless you all and hope to see you there!
